Acquisition Criteria

Premier Equities acquires commercial real estate in dynamic markets throughout the United States. We seek Class A and B office, retail, industrial and multi-family properties that are promising turnaround opportunities such as vacant buildings or properties that require extensive renovation or remodeling. We aggressively pursue distressed assets including commercial REO and non-performing notes.

Investment Parameters
Premier Equities initiates equity investments on a direct or joint venture basis. These investment opportunities typically range from $5 million to $30 million and are generally held for three to five years.

David Friedman

President & CEO
David is President and CEO of Premier Equities and Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions. Mr. Friedman started his career as a licensed real estate broker in 1983. In 1987, he launched Friedman Real Estate Group as a boutique brokerage firm specializing in the leasing of office and industrial space throughout Metro Detroit. Today, Friedman Real Estate Group employs a staff of over 150 brokers, leasing agents and other professionals who maintain property listings and other real estate assignments across the state of Michigan. The company’s unparalleled growth reflects Mr. Friedman’s dedication to innovation and creativity. Friedman Real Estate Group and its management affiliate, Finsilver/Friedman Management Company, are widely recognized for their expertise in a range of real estate disciplines, including office, retail, land and investment sales, tenant representation, property management, asset management, development and construction. Mr. Friedman is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Michigan. He is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He publishes a bi-annual report on the state of the Detroit area real estate market and is a regular speaker on the local talk circuit.

Chuck is the COO/CFO and has been a valued team member since 2000. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Michigan with a BBA Degree. Chuck has been a CPA since 1985 and a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Michigan since 1996. He has over 20 years experience in almost all areas of the commercial real estate industry.

Scott Shefman

Scott Shefman

Director of Acquisitions
Scott is the Director of Acquisitions and has been a valued team member since 1999. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 and the Illinois College of Law in 1995. Prior work experience includes working in the acquisitions and due diligence departments of two large REITs in Chicago, IL. Scott oversees valuation analysis, financing and tax appeal work for both owned and third-party managed properties.

John-Paul Wolfe

Senior Acquisition Manager
Mr. Wolfe has been with Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions since 2010.  John-Paul conducts due diligence, valuation analysis and financing activities for the acquisitions division and for third-party clients.  John-Paul joined Premier Equities with 9 years of commercial real estate and underwriting experience.   John-Paul is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received his MBA in Finance/Real Estate from The American University in Washington, DC.

Jared Friedman

Manager of Acquisitions & Opportunities
Jared Friedman is the Manager of Acquisitions & Opportunities for Premier Equities. Prior to joining Premier, Jared served as Senior Associate at Origin Investments in Chicago where he was responsible for underwriting, due diligence and closing of commercial real estate investments located in Denver, Dallas, Charlotte and Chicago. Prior to joining Origin, Jared worked as a Financial Analyst at Equity Office Properties where he prepared property valuation models for over six million square feet of office space and maintained investment-level performance models relating to $21B in office investments made by Blackstone. Prior to Equity Office, Jared served as a summer analyst at BMO Capital Markets in their Real Estate Investment Banking Group.
